Too Faced Eye Primer Review

So I recently purchased a primer after doing some research on which to try out with my skin type and needs. I took notice of Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance because of the already good reviews that people had on Sephora. I wanted something that will last me through a long night, especially during parties or special outings. The biggest factor that made me look into this product was the anti-crease promise that it was suppose to offer.

Price & size:

I bought the primer at Sephora for $18. The size of the primer tube is 0.35 oz. It’s kind of a steep price tag for someone like me that prefers bargain brands to purchase this item, but I really wanted a long lasting effective primer so I took the chance.

Initial thoughts:

The tube came in a cute box with a nice design. At a glance it looks like a small tube that I would quickly demolish within weeks, but you can feel that it’s packed with the formula to the very end. The extraction point is a very small slender tip with a tiny hole at the end. The primer is more of a beige tone but blends flawlessly and easily on your lids. There’s no strong scent to the product as well which nice if you’re the type of person that gets distracted by all the different smell that goes onto your face when doing your makeup.

Usage:

So like I said earlier how it felt like the tube was small, a little goes a long way though when using the primer. A little dot can give me a good coverage over my lids with a very creamy, smooth application. It blends wonderfully with my eye shadows and defines the colors very well. Though, I recently used a cream eye shadow and by the end of the night I started seeing creases on my lids. I tend to have oily lids by the end of the night so it could be the oil seeping through the primer.

Verdict:

I’d say yes, if you’re looking for a good eye shadow primer. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but this tube will last you quite a good amount of time.

It’s works wonders with powder eye shadow, giving a highly pigmented color to them.

With cream eye shadow, I still have to experiment on them to see if I can fully eliminate the crease that shows up after half the day is gone.

But for now, I’m happy with this purchase :]

Well I said I would try it and I did.

I didn’t have a spare sponge lying around to use so I used paper towels instead. The transition was less smooth but it still gave a nice effect to the nails which I loved.

I used a nice orange color and a somewhat darker shimmery red. It reminded me of a sunset with the sun glowing bright reddish orange as it sets into the sky.

I love this stuff!

As crazy and bipolar my skin may feel on certain times of the month, I can’t give enough credit to this St. Ives’ face wash. Let’s face it, my skin can be as dry as the Death Valley Desert one night or more oily than a fresh slice of pizza the other. To my surprise, this Green Tea version of the St. Ives face wash collection soothes whichever skin crisis I’m in. I still have to do the regular routine of using toner and emulsion to finish the nightly treatment, but the day after results are rewarding.

Did I also mention that it smells incredible? Yes, it literally smells like a fresh cup of green tea in your face. Much of you that heard of St. Ives would probably refer back to it’s original apricot scent, which still one of my favorite scrubs whenever I need a good shedding.

If you haven’t tried this brand yet, do so now. It’s commonly stocked in pharmacies, markets and retail stores; the price is also super affordable. At around $4 compared, to other brand names, this wash will do equally well to its competitors.

So after all the hype I’ve heard from people about the Japanese Green Tea Kit-Kat, I decided to give it a try when I coincidentally found them in the front of the cashier when checking out at a small Asian market. To my surprise, it came in a small box of 6 individually wrapped packets; sorta like the fun size ones but even smaller. The box is more artistically developed unlike the generic red plastic bags that we find at our grocery stores.

So how did it taste? To be frank, there was a no doubt that there was an initial difference when you first bite into it. The chocolate is more creamier and rich. It is on a bit of the sweeter side since white chocolate is probably used rather than the common milk chocolate. You could taste the hint of green tea flavor in there which isn’t over powering.

I loved it. I just wished it came in bigger portions so it would last longer.

There’s also a strawberry version as well, that I’m waiting to try next time around when I visit the market again.

We had this yesterday for dinner; it was more of a steak and eggs with a twist.

The beef cut was sirloin that was marinated with some red wine vinegar, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper for about an hour. When cooked, we added some more seasoning so that the flavor isn’t lost in the oil. It came out pretty tender and juicy don’t you think? :]

Yes, I finally got my personal domain to work. This site can now be found as phatloots.net! I couldn’t get .com since it was already taken I guess, but meh it’s still fine with me.

Anyways, I finally decided that it was time for Lola to have a new bow. I made the new bow out of fleece from the random scraps of fabric I found in a pile sitting in the back of a closet. It was a rather simple project and is seriously a better look for her than with the nasty old yellow (now brown) bow that she had on earlier through the year.

Kimchi fried rice!

It’s my first attempt at making it and although the rice is a bit more soggy than I wanted it to be, it was actually really tasty. The ingredients were simple: rice, eggs, kimchi and some Chinese tempura that we found at a small local Asian market.

And so I tried to change and alter the look of my Tumblr page. I guess it was somewhat of a success, seeing that I got most of the parts that I wanted to change. I really wanted to have columns in my posts just ‘cause it’s easier for me to refer back to what I actually posted on the previous days..or even months.

Anyways, I think the more important highlight of most people’s day (mainly Apple fans) is the unveiling of the iPad 3 or “the new iPad” as what Tim Cook announced to be. Either way you call it, I gave in and pre-ordered one. I’m no crazy Apple fan, or own an iPhone anytime in my life (though I did purchase the products as gifts), but sadly I felt like I needed one…badly. I never thought I would actually splurge and drop 700 bucks on this device, but in the end I did because I just couldn’t resist it’s new improvements; 4G, retina display, HD photos and videos..I can’t wait!

It’s finally done! I seriously took like 4 days off from this project which was super lazy of me to do so, but I finally got it done after watching it sit in the corner with all the white areas that needed to be filled.

The hardest part for me to do anything is starting, but once I get going, I can continue with no sweat. At the same time, sometimes I hold back thinking that what I’m currently doing is wrong or doesn’t feel quite right; I stop completely and not be able to start again for a pretty long time.

Super cold! Really want to finish off my Caitlyn painting already, but I’m so lazy to get it...

Super cold! Really want to finish off my Caitlyn painting already, but I’m so lazy to get it started again. Plus, the 62 degree room isn’t helping my hands from tensing up. So far most of the purple and brown have been filled, just need to mix in the neutral colors for her skin and rifle. Of course, the color in this photo isn’t how the real colors are depicted since the program that I used to take the picture made it like 5x extra darker than it should be.
